Beyond the Valley® is a creative community in the centre of London
that supports and promotes emerging new talent across the fashion, art
& design industries.

How are we doing that..?

1. NEWBURGH STREET STORE & GALLERY

Originally created as a not-for-profit space next to London's famous
Carnaby St, the space provides new designers with a centrally located retail,
gallery and studio space to launch new products into the market.

This space is used as stepping-stone for +100 new designers, providing
a platform to showcase and test out new ideas before developing them for
larger scale production and international distribution.

Products in-store range from fashion, books, jewellery, illustration, furniture,
wallpaper to design products & accessories. All items are produced in
limited quantities, and most of them are exclusive to Beyond the Valley.

The Side Room of the unit is a dedicated space for regular art exhibitions
from emerging talent and is available for private hire.

Over 100 of the best recent graduates from Central Saint Martins, RCA,
Goldsmith etc are currently participating in this project.

2. ONLINE STORE

Now you can buy the best sellers from our London store no matter where
you are in the world. Isn’t that great.

3. WHOLESALE

Beyond the Valley has recently launched their own-brand fashion and
homewares range, and is available for international wholesale.

For trade enquires please contact kate@beyondthevalley.com
for the latest catalogue or to find out where we will be showing
next.

4. DESIGN AGENCY

Most of our artists & designers are available through Beyond the Valley
for freelance work, commissions, focus groups, brainstorming…
whatever you need.
For more information please contact jojackson@beyondthevalley.com.

5. EVENTS

We have been known to put on a party or two. But beer drinking aside,
Beyond the Valley also manages pop-up events around London including
Wünderville, a sensational assemblage of oddities
, September 2006 for
the London Design Festival. A twisted Victorian sideshow featuring
installations and entertainment from 15 new designers, set across
4 vacant spaces around the Carnaby area. See some of the event here,
or visit the microsite.

6. INTERNATIONAL GUERILLA STORES

The Valley opened their first international ‘Exchange’ store for 2 months
in Helsinki, Finland May 2005, thanks to Contra Integrated Services,
Finnish Institute, Finnish Embassy & Lahti Institute of Art & Design.

The events went down so well that we’ll be doing it again...in Shanghai,
autumn/winter 2007...hopefully.

Beyond the Valley® is…

Jo Jackson, Kate Harwood & Kristjana S. Williams

Three designers who graduated from Central St Martins in 2003.
Fed up with the lack of opportunities for young designers, they set up
the project to help the transition for designers to develop from being
a graduate to independent commercially successful practitioner.
